Here at The Gambia Project, we aim to improve the relief of poverty and aid the advancement of education amongst young people in The Gambia, in particular through:
i) improving the continuing education opportunity for students at St. Joseph’s School and other schools in Banjul;
ii) providing bursaries to enable attendance at St. Josephs School in Banjul by young people who would otherwise not have the means.
Closer to home we also work to advance education amongst young people in the UK in respect of Gambian culture, history, arts and crafts;
We strive to develop the capacity and skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged community of Banjul in The Gambia in such a way that they are better able to identify and help meet their needs and to participate more fully in society.
